"Amongst all the projects we have launched in Luxembourg, supporting professional or social
communities has always been our leitmotif. We truly believe in the power of social bonds, and now, we
need to stick together more than ever"
- György Gattyán, founder and owner of Docler Holding
On June 25th, 2020 at Luxembourg Airport, artist Jacques Schneider unveiled the work "Eng Grous Famill" in the
presence of representatives of the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess Foundation, Docler Holding and Lux-Airport.
It is in the spirit of solidarity, initiated by Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and the Grand Duchess,
through their Foundation during this period of turmoil caused by the global pandemic, that artist Jacques
Schneider - supported by thousands of participants and sponsored by Docler Holding - created the work "Eng
Grouss Famill".
The artist would like to thank in particular for their participation: Mr Fernand Etgen, President of the Chamber
of Deputies, the Grand-Ducal Police, the Armed Forces, the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS), the
Customs and Excise Agency, the Luxembourg Hospital Centre as well as thousands of donors, not forgetting
lux-Airport, which gave the opportunity to exhibit the first work at Luxembourg Airport.
Jacques Schneider is a Luxembourgish artist dedicated to his own creative process. He draws inspiration from
everywhere, and for many years, he was known for his unique fusion of photographic and pictorial art.
With more than a thousand pieces to his name, his work represents an incredible inventory of
Luxembourgish landscapes.
Today, his work is so widespread that we can find his portraits of His Royal
Highness the Grand Duke on four separate continents.
Fondation du Grand-Duc et de la Grand Duchesse is a non-profit organization actively fighting
for
integration in Luxembourg and against all forms of exclusion.
Since the start of the COVID-19 crisis, the Fondation has remained faithful to its objectives and is
wholeheartedly committed to helping the most disadvantaged. Through its actions, the Foundation has already
been able to support an association for homeless people. The Foundation has also helped pupils and
students
from disadvantaged backgrounds access online learning programs, and even helped university students
finding
themselves in precarious financial situations following the loss of their student jobs.
Over the next few weeks, we will face new challenges that we will need to overcome together. It is thanks to
your support that the Fondation du Grand-Duc et de la Grande Duchesse will be able to react to all
these
challenges promptly and decisively.
